Have you been wanting a manicure that lasts longer than 3 days without having to go for nail extensions, acrylic or gel based applications. And even when you have these kind of manicures done, do you tend to suffer from brittle or soft nails. Then Shellac is the answer for you.
Initially starting off with less than 20 shades, CND (Creative Nail Design) which is the company behind Shellac has extended the range to a whopping 60 shades. Nothing in comparison to the range stocked by China Glaze or O.P.I, but it is a good start considering a Shellac manicure would last you 2 entire weeks or even more. Worst case scenario, the Shellac polish can be removed by using an acetone free nail polish and then a non-CND colour of choice can be re-applied. Note: an acetone-free nail polish remover is used so as not to break down the gel coating.
The videos do a good job at explaining the science behind this product and Lisa Eldridge (Love her and her blog btw) tests out the Shellac manicure. You can find salon listings in the United Kingdom here
