Why? Because the Print Trousers are here to stay but this time, the wearers are the boys. The usual suspects areVivienne Westwood and Etro with Lanvin and Prada following closely. To avoid chances of looking like a Christmas tree, go for block colours on the upper half. Clashing patterns is not for the faint hearted or newbies to the pattern trend.

Dior Couture without Galliano
Bill Gaytten designed the complete collection for this years Fall Couture Collection. Influences from the past shows make a comeback in this collection with ruffles of unfinished taffeta and tiered gowns. The impressive head pieces like the Napoleon and Clown hats, 3D geometric shapes, stars and a moon were created by Stephen Jones and worked as an exceptional addition to the show. Full skirts as well as pencil skirts were shown in colours that reminded of sorbet. A bedazzled gold jacket and puffy 3/4 sleeve pastel jackets and tops brought a bit of sparkle and fun to the show. All in all was it a success? Have a look at some of what we thought were the highlights.

Scandalous Women...
Once upon a time, not too long ago, in the galaxy of stars, there was a woman named Marilyn Monroe. Loved by many, hated by some. Young girls wanted to be her, American soldiers had posters of her on their walls. Irresistible they called her. A true woman. Rumours were spread about her liaisons with Presidents but never confirmed. A woman of little or no morals some said, because she had, in their eyes, too much sex appeal and was surrounded by scandals. O how these same people must be completely aghast at the sight of what is termed today, a female celebrity. Women whose "talents" or claim to fame are questionable. If you consider playing the lead role in sex tape a talent. Copies of these exceptional works of art are apparently leaked by friends or even family.

Chanel Haute Couture Fall 2011
If we were to follow in the footsteps of Karl Lagerfeld, then anything peplum is here to stay. But the style has extended to maxi skirts, jackets and full length dresses too. Chanel's Haute Couture Fall 2011 Show had a few sprinkles of bright pinks and reds but stayed true to the classic white and black and every shade in between. According to style.com, Metropolis was a strong inspiration for the set design with models shoes lighting up blue at the show finale. A homage to the Allures of Coco Chanel was expressed in the music, set design and of course the creations presented by models who had to take teeny steps in their slim skirts. Ladies for your information, taking small steps is something you would have to re-learn if you are to carry off this look and not fall on your face.

A New Friend...
I have used one and the same tweezers for the most part of my life. I hang on to it with dear life. These tweezers go with me on all trips, in a little pouch reserved just for it. How after more than 10 years of devotion it went missing, I have no clue.
